This website is to make every parent, guardian and carer aware of the potential and proven dangers of what would appear to be fairly innocuous looped window blinds that appear in thousands of UK homes, which inevitably put young lives at risk of strangulation.
Following the recent tragic loss of Harrison it will be an ongoing commitment to get these type of chorded systems banned from manufacture in the world.
These types of chords have been banned from production in the USA following 359 children’s deaths between 1985 and 1995.
It is now overdue that the United Kingdom cease the manufacture of these and follow in the sensible footsteps of America and in addition make the population aware of that thousand of these are already fitted in UK homes.
Roger Vincent, spokesman for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (Rospa), said: "In an ideal world manufacturers wouldn't produce blinds and curtains with looped cords. In the US they haven't been producing them for 12 or 13 years now.
"But even if that is addressed by the manufacturers there will be millions of these in homes.
"It is important that tragedies like this highlight that children can get their heads into these loops from time to time and can be killed.
"Our advice is that parents cut the loops on the cords and try to keep them out of the reach of children."
Mr Vincent added: "We estimate there are around one or two a year in the UK where children become entangled.
"Parents and those looking after children need to be aware of these hazards."
Mr McLaughlin also revealed that Muireann's heart valves were given for transplant, to "allow two other children life".

New rules are being brought in to outlaw dangerous blind cords - after two toddlers in south Staffordshire died when they got tangled up in them.
Three year old Harrison Joyce from Lichfield died last year after getting entangled in one at his home.
Now - new European Standards will mean all looped blind cords will break apart if they come under any pressure.
Harrison passed away on Thursday week
To get to the truth was all we could seek
He was 3 years old soon to be 4
The family has never felt pain like this before
Whilst support from relatives as eased the grief
Something was to blame was our belief
After much research and testing our minds
We found a fault with the household blinds
We hear they are banned in the USA
But are still on sale in Britain today
This needs to be stopped so we hear this no more
In his memory we'll call it Harrison's Law.
